We have three varieties of our bench style rooms, fitting two, five, or seven people. Our Workbench TornadoSafeRoom™’s are some of the highest tested and certified Tornado Safe Rooms in the United States. They are tested and certified by Certified Testing Laboratories of Orlando, Florida, a Miami-Dade County approved testing laboratory, and have been tested to meet and surpass the FEMA Storm Shelter Testing Requirements.
These units passed gunshot tests using 38 special, 380, 9 mm and 45 automatic military weapons from a distance of 15' without any penetration. These rooms are manufactured with a low profile which, because of the low height, catches less wind load, and making it much stronger and safer than taller rooms. This allows for our rooms to be used year-round as a small work bench.
Two Person
Our most popular unit! One of the most unique aspects of our two-person standard room is that it comes with benches. The Two-Person TornadoSafeRoom™ is 60" Wide x 30" deep x 55" high. It includes a bench on each end giving space for two large adults (or 4 small adults) and room for your lovable pet on the floor space between the benches or under each bench. It is anchored in place by 16 special concrete anchor bolts each having a minimum of 7,252 pounds of tension strength. What this means to you is that this room is held in place by more than 112,000 pounds of holding power. (That is equal to 56 tons holding this room in place).
Five Person

The Five Person Chair Model TornadoSafeRoom™ is 90" Wide x 30" deep x 55" high. This makes the "Five-Person" Tornado Safe Room™ ideal for small families of five or less and has space for pets. The door, when closed, is secured by three of our patented "Saf-T" latches. This room is anchored in place by 21 special concrete anchor bolts each having more than 7,000 pounds of tension strength holding it in place. What this means to you is that this room is held in place by more than 147,000 pounds of holding power. (That is equal to 73 tons holding this room in place).
Seven Person

The "Seven-Person" Tornado SafeRoom™ is 120" long x 30" deep x 55" high. It has room for 6-7 adults and 3 or more children and room for your pet on the floor. It is anchored in place by 27 special concrete anchor bolts each having more than 7,252 pounds of tension strength. What this means to you is that this room is held in place by more than 195,804 pounds of holding power. (That is equal to more than 95 tons holding this room in place).
